To be with you, there's nothing I wouldn't do.

So again, it's a typical Friday with nothing to do. I just hung out at home the whole day, and watched the end of an "iCarly" marathon with my siblings. Then my mom and stepdad went out on a date and left me in charge. Of course there were TV shows my siblings wanted to watch. My brother had been looking forward to a new episode of SpongeBob SquarePants for like 2 weeks and it was on tonight. So he, my sister and I watched it. Then my sister left to watch "Wizards on Deck With Hannah Montana". I watched the very end of it before I got in the shower.

And also today, I recorded a song cover on youtube for someone very special. The song was actually a request from my girlfriends Theresa and Melanie, but I dedicated it to someone very special. And now, sit back, take your shoes off, and grab a cup of decaf coffee, cuz I'm gonna tell you a little love story.

Last year was my first year of college. I'll be going to this school for another year before transferring. In my first semester, I took Intermediate Algebra. It was one of those classes where the teacher was in another location and taught several different networks via video. Kinda nice as the teacher really didn't pay attention to who was doing what.

It was in this class that I met Billy. Yeah, I know. We have rhyming names, please shoot me now. The first thing I noticed about him was that he was wearing a Yankees cap. Me coming from a family of Yankees fans (myself excluded as I am a Red Sox fan), I took note of this and mentioned it to him. And he said that he's also a Cubs fan (his hometown is the Windy City).

I didn't really talk to him for a lot of the semester, but right around the middle, he sat next to me, and I just realized how CUTE he was. And so I decided to test the waters with him. I asked him if he thought I was pretty, and he said I was. I've been made fun of my whole life because of the way I look, so to hear that from a cute guy was just so sweet because I'm not used to hearing it. And I returned the favor by telling him that I thought he was cute. He said he didn't hear it often either. And then I gave him my contact info (facebook, myspace, cell phone #, etc) and he gave me his cell phone number. And at the end of every class we'd hug and he'd tell me "take care" before we left.

Then, towards the end of the semester I realized I really liked him and he seemed to like me back. So one day I decided to really flirt with him. Our class was a 2-hour class and we took a 10-minute break after one hour. I always grabbed something to eat on our break. So, one day we were going on break, and I told him "hey, love, I'm gonna go get something to eat, I'll see you in 10!" and blew a kiss at him. He smiled at me as I left. Then I came back. He had left the room for a minute and I was giggling like mad. My friend Bridget asked me what was up and I just kept giggling. Then she asked "do you have a crush?" and pointed to his empty chair. I was like "is it THAT obvious?", then he came back. Class started up again and we talked a little more. Then I told him "I really like you." He just simply said "I know." But he didn't say anything more than that, so he gave off the vibe that he shared my feelings. And then at the end we hugged again and parted ways.

The day of our last class together, we took a final. Yuck, hate finals, they should be made illegal. Billy showed up late, so I finished before he did. When he came we waved enthusiastically at each other, and after I finished I waited for him to finish, then we walked out together and talked about our plans for the upcoming holidays. He had another final so I walked him to it. I gave him a big hug, and then asked if I could kiss him. He's like "yeah" and leans his cheek closer to my mouth, so I kissed him on the cheek. I was wearing lip gloss that day (still remember the shade too...........Kohl's Flirt! Squeeze Me Super Shiny Lip Gloss in Zippy Ginger) so I told him that I hope I didn't leave any on his cheek. He rubbed his cheek just to make sure. Then we parted ways.

I did see him around campus for the spring semester, although we didn't have any classes. I got his number again and programmed it into my phone. We talked a lot about our plans for whatever we were doing. And I gave him a light-up rose for Valentine's Day, and he said he appreciated it. And the last time I saw him he complimented me on my then-new haircut, said it looked good.

And now, sadly, he's away in Chicago for the summer. I've wanted to call him but have been too shy. He told me he was gonna be there and that it sucked that we wouldn't be able to see each other. I've texted him occasionally. And I also dedicated "Dreaming of You" by Selena to him on the Delilah show. I didn't get to talk to Delilah herself, but I talked to one of her producers and told her about him. When I said he was my almost-boyfriend, she asked "did he get away or are you working on it?" And I said that we were working on it. And I told her the story and that we'll be able to try to work things out next fall. She asked how old we were. He turned 20 on May 24th, and I will be 20 on November 29th.

Billy is just the sweetest, and if we do end up together, he'd be my second boyfriend overall, and my first in 5 years (I was single for a good majority of high school except for freshman year........that is 4 months of my life I wished I hadn't experienced). People will give us crap cuz of our rhyming names, but I don't care. And he also shares his name with one of the killers in the original "Scream" (I find that ironic cuz my Billy, as far as I know, is not sociopathic, nor does he look like a guy who looks like Johnny Depp).

Well, that's my love story of the day, feel free to comment on mine or share your own! You don't have to use blogger to comment.
