Today was a bit brief cuz I woke up at 3:00 pm central time.
Most of it I just hung out at home, printed out movie reviews and saved them in my journal, cuz that's just what I do. And I watched a little bit of TV and also "Dude, Where's My Car?" which I haven't watched in awhile. It's so dumb, but it's kinda funny too.
Tonight I'm gonna discuss something that's been on my mind for a couple of days now.
I am kinda getting into murder mysteries. They're quite facsinating cuz you never know what's gonna happen next.
One classic example of a good murder mystery is the "Scream" trilogy. I haven't seen any of them but I plan on seeing them, with a guy. I don't like horror movies unless I have someone with me to protect me. With siblings that are much younger, and my love life being very uncertain at the moment, I can't watch them yet. I did do some background research on the first movie, and I learned the plot. The main character is Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), whose mother was brutally murdered one year before the events of the movie. Her friends are murdered one by one by a masked killer known as Ghostface. Eventually, it is revealed that there are 2 killers: her boyfriend Billy (Skeet Ulrich) and his best friend Stu (Matthew Lilliard). Everyone said that Ulrich looks like Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp is my favorite actor because he's sexy, amazing, and can pull off any role (he scared the life outta me when I saw Sweeney Todd). And when I looked up Skeet Ulrich on Google, I found that yeah, he does kinda look like Johnny Depp. So he's hot. And it got me wondering, WHY does the killer end up being the hot guy? Why? It's just not easy to get!
And the other main murder mystery I kinda got into was a TV show called "Harper's Island". I watched the final two episodes and I think I'll buy the season on DVD. The plot line is about the wedding between Trish Wellington (Katie Cassidy) and Henry Dunn ("Ugly Betty" alum Christopher Gorham). The wedding takes place on Harper's Island, the scene of a mass murder 7 years prior. One of the victims was the mother of Henry's best friend, Abby Mills (Elaine Cassidy, no relation to Katie). One by one, the wedding guests, members of the wedding party, police officers and other locals on the island are killed off. The main suspect is John Wakefield, who was arrested and charged for murder in the 1980's and was sentenced to life in prison, but released on parole in 2002. It is then believed that he went on the murderous rampage on Harper's Island. In the final 2 episodes, it is revealed that Wakefield had committed some of the murders, but that he had an accomplice: Henry. It was also revealed that Wakefield was present at the murder scenes in 2002, but it was Henry doing the killing. He figured that marrying his childhood sweetheart, Trish, would bring Abby back to the island, and then he and his dad, Wakefield, killed everyone in Henry and Abby's way so Henry could live his fantasy life with Abby. Again, Christopher Gorham, who played Henry, is hot. And once again, the killer is the hot guy. Why? Why does it have to be like this?
So that's my story of the night. Tomorrow is my little brother's birthday, and I'll be sure to check in with any stories from that!
